Steel People, Steel in the DNA.
Passion for metalworking and a sense of belonging to the territory and the company. These are the characteristics that unite the people who work in the Business Unit Specialties.
Valuing professionalism and developing skills,
knowing that a close-knit and motivated team
multiplies the potential of individuals.
With a heritage of more than a century, we are aware that our future lies in our ability to grow and innovate. And to do this, we rely on our talents, thanks also to an ongoing training policy capable of refining and developing the skills of our staff. Through continuous growth paths, we encourage participation in Master's degrees and higher education programmes, helping to create new opportunities for professional enrichment.
Guidance, internships, higher
education
We are active in collaborations with schools and universities, with the aim of developing shared projects and having a significant impact on the growth of the community through the involvement of new generations. The projects are aimed at the curricular and extra-curricular education of young students, with various types of teaching aids, workshop activities and research projects.
We are partners of Roadjob, with which we created an ATS (Associazione Temporanea di Scopo) in 2022 to set up the first IFTS (Istruzione e Formazione Tecnica Superiore) project on plastic deformation of steel. The project envisages the insertion of young people in the company through a first-level apprenticeship: the course is developed through on-the-job training and classroom training with theoretical lessons.
We carry out orientation actions in the field of STEM subjects, towards young and very young people. We host PCTO (Percorsi per le Competenze Trasversali e l'Orientamento) projects in collaboration with various schools in the area, with company visits and classroom meetings.
We engage in initiatives to support merit, through the awarding of scholarships or degree prizes.
Differences make us special
We guarantee our people a welcoming, safe, inclusive environment with policies and programmes for growth and well-being. An environment that values differences and where you can best express yourself. Our approach is governed by the company's Code of Ethics, which includes the values expressed by the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the principles of the Global Compact, to which Feralpi Group adheres.
The workplace to promote health
Workplace safety is central to our improvement policies. They concern not only equipment and technology, but also the procedures and culture of our staff. We adopt a strategy of prevention, also by strengthening safety awareness of the people themselves.
The aim is to reduce the level of risk as much as possible.
Promotion and maintenance of people's psychophysical and social well-being is one of the objectives of the Business Unit Specialties and of all Feralpi Group companies in terms of social commitment in the ESG sphere.
We participate in the Group's WHP (Workplace Health Promotion) project, a European programme to promote health and well-being in the workplace. Through shared or plant-specific good practices, initiatives focus in particular on improving personal lifestyles and prevention. Through these activities, we intend to involve employees and collaborators of our organisation also on the front of psychophysical and physical well-being.
Caleotto received the certificate of 'Company that promotes health' from the local ATS in December 2023.
